Everyone in the Amazon space is talking about Amazon's new 75-character title policy that goes into effect on July 27. And nearly everyone claims to have "cracked the code" to modifying titles and listings to comply with the new policy, and put your brand ahead of the pack. Maybe you listened to the advice of your favorite Amazon expert and you rewrote your titles for the new format. Pasted them in. Moved on. (Be honest, that's what you did.) But do you actually know if it worked? Maybe your sales moved in a positive direction since you made the changes. But was it the new title? Or your price, your ads, that promo, seasonality, or 10 other things all moving at once? You'd never run PPC that way. Change a bid, then never check what it did. Right? That's basically what everyone is doing right now with their titles. And that's often been my problem with Amazon gurus who rush to put out "best practices" without empiricism that supports their best practices. Well, here's the good news (at least as it relates to new titles)... My buddy Ben Mathew (co-founder of Superfuel) built an AI agent that measures the impact of your title changes. It strips out everything else moving your numbers and tells you what the title change alone did to your sales. Here's an example that he sent me... What's cool about Superfuel's agent is that the titles it writes are smart, too. Not keyword stuffing (you know how to do that), but what's working in your competitors' titles and what customers praise or complain about in reviews. Hard to dig up by hand, but it moves impressions and CTR. I asked Ben how this agent has been performing across Superfuel's brand clients. So far...+25% to +35% more impressions and clicks on the listings it's measured, and about $20k/month in extra sales, on average. Naturally, the data and empiricism here got me interested, so I asked Ben to craft a special offer for Best@Amazon readers... Between now and the end of July, you can run Superfuel's agent on up to 10 of your ASINs...for free. You only pay once it's driven sales. No performance, no pay.
PS: Want to see the agent in action first? Check out this YouTube walk-though: BEST from LinkedInCarbon6 is...back? About 10 days ago, one of the original cofounders of Carbon6 published a LinkedIn post that said they were buying back the "3P business" from SPS Commerce, for ~$9 million. I saved the post, with a plan to share with all of you but, lo and behold, it was deleted. I'm hearing from other sources though that this buy-back did indeed happen, and we can expect to see Carbon6 (maybe under a new name?) out in the market again. Outside of PixelMe, I'm not sure that there's a lot of enduring value in the 3P assets of Carbon6, so that $9 million purchase price seems high to me. But, maybe I'm wrong! BEST from XWhen 9-figure brand owners talk, you should listen. When 8-figure brand owners talk, you should listen. When someone in the arena talks, you should listen. Aaron is a 9-figure brand owner and someone that has been in the arena for over a decade. Pay attention to what he has to say, in general, and especially about this new IP abuse vector.
